We have now updated the competitor's standings and it does include up to Olympia Rally. There are some competitors who have run or is running in the out of region events, but are part of the Southwest region as their appointed region to compete in.....to educate yourself on those rules go to the Rally America rules regarding regional championships. Do note that Southwest RallyCup solely runs on total R-A alignment on regional rules for the championship winner's determination.
There are three female drivers that are really strong in the championship (Jen Imai, Lisa Klassen and Christine Beavis). Good luck girls!
Also female co-driver categories...Angela Dryer, Christine Wittish, Marie Boyd, etc are running strong as well...good luck to you as well!
Bill Holmes is strong in several categories of the championship. We do have some very close point's battles in several categories.
Remember the drivers in each category who win the top three positions Southwest RallyCup series/Rally America in Open, Production GT, Production, Group 2 and Group 5 will be invited to the National Regional Championship in 2008 . There is over $2500.00 in cash prizes and $7000.00 in product that are coming from our series sponsors mentioned on this website to help you on getting to that championship.
We also have a 2 wheel drive point's championship going on as well. New for the series in 2007; we are honoring/recognizing 2- wheel drive competitors .
Also, I will update you on the running of the Rookie of the Year Championship which is worth over $4000.00's certificate to go to the 4 day school at the Tim O'Neil Rally School.
