Update Message from the Series Director:
Well, we are coming into the ending of the series season and we still have two exciting rally venues left to decide on who will be the overall team winners of the series and individual driver and co-driver of the series in each prospective class. We have some very close point standings in each class and the last two events of the season will be the deciding factor of who will be winning and go forth onward to the 2008 National Regional Rally Runoff.
Rally Colorado – September 22/23 rd , 2007, Steamboat Springs, Co.
Quartzsite Rally: (quartzsiterally.com) A one day event that will span over 75 stage miles of nicely graded desert roads of La Paz County , Az. Some competitor favorite roads will be included from the Desert Storm Rally that everyone asked to be extended into this event. Plus, some new roads that competitors have not seen. It will be headquartered in Quartzsite , Az. And lodging provided at the Super 8 motel based in Quartzsite.
Also a $400.00 prize fund going toward the 1 st and 2 nd place winners in each class that is represented at the event.
Subaru Southwest Region (Orange County Office) (series sponsor) will be sponsoring the awards breakfast. Thank you as always Subaru.
This event will have an early morning session and a late evening session with a mid-day break which will make the service crews happy if the car needs to have extended amount of time to work on the cars and have a nice long lunch and relax to get ready for the next leg of the rally. It is a great shakedown event to get ready for the next series event –Rally Colorado.

Now in its 4 th year as a national rally. The rally is based in Steamboat Springs .; known as “ Ski Town ,” USA . A year round resort community with only a short drive from Denver . The roads are gravel, open area and high attitude. Rally activities starting on Friday, September, 21 st with the two regionals happening on Saturday and Sunday- September 22/23 rd , 2007.
This year is the first for the rally to be apart of the Southwest RallyCup series and we hope to bring out some great Southwest regional competitors from the California , Arizona , Nevada area for some great competition.
Southwest RallyCup series is very happy to have the Rally Colorado as part of the series family. We do have a prize fund going toward the regional series competitors and the funds will be over $600.00's for the two day regional events for 1 st and 2 nd place in each represented class. Also, Racetech a series sponsor is giving out sport bags to be going out to the winning co-drivers!
Also….we are giving out to the first seven regional competitors who will be entering from the Arizona, California, Nevada area will be receiving a $70.00 tow fund to help out on their fuel expenses for entering the event.
So we still have some great competition coming up and I hope to see you out there at each of these events.
