Tim O'Neil Rally to Sponsor SouthWest RallyCup Series
( Lakewood , Ca) Southwest RallyCup , comprised of eight Rally America regional events ( www.southwestrallyseries.com ), announced today that Team O'Neil, the nation's foremost rally school, will be sponsoring the series for the remainder of 2006 and all of 2007.
In an effort to get more regional rally drivers more experience at little cost, Team O'Neil has offered a gift certificate valued at $4150 for a four-day rally school program. In 2007, team O'Neil will provide prize funds to each Southwest RallyCup organizer as well as the season ending 4-day rally school gift certificate.
Both the 2006 and 2007 gift certificate will be given away as a prize drawing for a lucky championship podium finisher at the series ending event. In 2006, this will be the Reno Regional Rally on December 2nd. The drawings will be limited to drivers with 1-2 years maximum experience and with current Rally America competition licenses. The goal is to give one lucky novice competitor a chance to enhance their driving skills and knowledge then bring this new knowledge back to the regional events. The drawing pool will consist of first, second and third place champions with the above mentioned experience only.
