Banquet Details and 2008 Announcements
The 2007 Southwest RallyCup Series recently held its’2nd annual awards banquet hosted at Speedzone Theme Park in City of Industry, Ca. on January 12th. 2008. There were quite a few representatives in each class who came out to enjoy some great food with the surroundings of all motorsports memorabilla from (NASCAR,NHRA,AMA,etc), had some laughs and honored those who went all out to battle for their wins in the series the final portion of the banquet consisted of an all out race between teams of winners, family and volunteers who worked the events. Car 433 Williams/Hakala Win Both Regionals at Rally Colorad
(Steamboat Springs , Co.) Round eight of the Rally America National Championship. This two day National /Regional event will cover nearly 110 stage miles in and around the resort community of Steamboat Springs, just a short drive west into the mountains from Denver.

Update Message from the Series Director:
Well, we are coming into the ending of the series season and we still have two exciting rally venues left to decide on who will be the overall team winners of the series and individual driver and co-driver of the series in each prospective class. We have some very close point standings in each class and the last two events of the season will be the deciding factor of who will be winning and go forth onward to the 2008 National Regional Rally Runoff. Updated message from the Series Director:
We have now updated the competitor's standings and it does include up to Olympia Rally. There are some competitors who have run or is running in the out of region events, but are part of the Southwest region as their appointed region to compete in.....to educate yourself on those rules go to the Rally America rules regarding regional championships. Do note that Southwest RallyCup solely runs on total R-A alignment on regional rules for the championship winner's determination. Read More |

The organizers have received a top-quality entry for the fourth running of the Desert Storm Rally this weekend in Blythe , Cal .
The event is a round of the California Rally Series, Western States Rally Championship and the Southwest RallyCup Championship. It is sanctioned by Rally America .
Leading the entry list are Brian Scott and John Dillon in their Subaru Impreza WRX. Last year Scott, from Phoenix AZ , and co-driver Dillon came third overall in the US Rally Championship.
